NRF52840-DK  Overview

The nRF52840 DK is a development kit designed for various applications such as Bluetooth Low Energy, Bluetooth mesh, Thread, Zigbee, 802.15.4, ANT, and 2.4 GHz proprietary applications. It can also be used for developing on the nRF52811 SoC. The nRF52840 DK supports Matter over Thread, where Thread is used for transportation and Bluetooth LE is used for commissioning. Matter devices based on Thread must also have Bluetooth LE to add new devices to a network. This development kit utilizes all the features of the nRF52840 SoC and includes an NFC antenna for NFC-A tag peripheral use. It has edge connectors and headers for easy access to all GPIOs, and 4 buttons and 4 LEDs for simplified input and output. The nRF52840 SoC is connected to an on-board external memory through the QSPI peripheral.
